Jim Goodwin has Dundee United exit options but two English suitors can't tempt boss after 'sounding out' mission

Jim Goodwin has told two English clubs he has no interest in talking about his future amid Dundee United's survival push.

The Irishman has made a big impression on the Tannadice support and three wins in a row have dragged them into good form and out of the Premiership relegation spots. After leaving Aberdeen earlier this year, he thrust himself back into the dugout in testing circumstances on a deal until the end of the season.

And The Scottish Sun has claimed that two unnamed English clubs have contacted the former St Mirren boss over his availability. Goodwin 'has been sounded out over his availability' but he 'has told them both he’s not interested in any discussions until the end of the season.' Those suitors are said to be keen to kick off formal talks but the former no-nonsense player won't entertain any future talks until United's season is over.

Up next for them in the post-split fixtures is a match with St Johnstone. They head into after a crucial 2-0 win over Livingston at Tannadice.
