St Mirren boss Jim Goodwin knows his side should have got the win against Aberdeen at home.
When the Buddies equalised through Jamie McGrath’s penalty and Dons’ Lewis Ferguson was sent off early in the second half, it looked as though it could be repeat of the recent 2-1 Betfred Cup victory.
But after a string of missed opportunities in the second period, Goodwin said that would be the new focus on the training ground.
He told Express Sport: “Inevitably people will look at the opportunities we missed - and rightly so.
“We will do plenty of crossing and finishing training this week and hopefully next week we will put it right.
“We are on a very good run, unbeaten in eight games.
“Under normal circumstances, you would be delighted with a point against Aberdeen.
“They are a really good side with top, top players.
“We spoke about the players they had missing in the cup game and I felt that eleven we faced was a strong eleven.
“They added three players to that eleven which made it an even tougher task.”
