Jim Carrey channels inner Ace Ventura as he mercilessly mocks loser Donald Trump

Jim Carrey rolled back the years to call Donald Trump a 'loser', Ace Ventura-style.

Joe Biden is the new US Present-elect after election victory confirmed a change at the White House is on the way.

Comic Jim celebrated the news by resurrecting his famous 1994 character to tell the 74-year-old orange-faced right-whinger just what he thinks.

He delivered a victory speech as Biden, alongside Vice President-elect Kamala Harris - played brilliantly by actress Maya Rudolph - on Saturday Night Live.

“I honestly kinda can’t believe it," Jim said as he took to the podium.

"It’s been so long since something good happened. I’ve never felt so alive and I'm barely alive.

“Unlike President Trump, we do accept the results.”

Then Ace arrived on the scene.

“We aren’t mad at them," he said. "This is one of those situations in life where there must be a winner and a... looooooooser " - making reference to a quote in the film.

Then both hold the L sign up to their heads, and say: "Loooooser!"

The actor wasn't the only high-profile star celebrating.

Jennifer Lawrence was so thrilled by Biden's win she ran down the streets of Boston in just her pyjamas.

Outspoken Trump critic Cher said she was jumping on her bed after the news was confirmed on Saturday after days of counting votes in key swing states.

Jennifer Aniston shared an Instagram photo of herself from Friends where her character Rachel Green throws her arms up in the air in excitement.

She wrote "ABOUT TIME."
