Jill Scott joined by Manchester United and Man City Lionesses at Sports Personality of the Year

The Manchester United and Manchester City heroes who starred in England Women's Euro 2022 success have been recognised for their historic achievement as they were crowned Team of the Year at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year (SPOTY) awards.

The Lionesses brought home the country's first senior international tournament trophy since 1966. A sell-out Wembley Stadium saw City attacker Chloe Kelly score an extra-time winner in the final against Germany.

Arsenal's Beth Mead - who finished as the tournament's top scorer with six goals - was crowned the winner of the main accolade, going down as 2022's Sports Personality of the Year.
