Jill Biden has admitted that she was surprised by a statement former Vice President Kamala Harris made about former President Joe Biden in her memoir.
Harris wrote in her book that Joe Biden’s ego and ambition effectively damaged Democrats’ hopes in the 2024 presidential election.
“I was a little surprised she wrote that,” Jill Biden told MSNOW’s Morning Joe, adding that “Joe and Kamala, me, Doug (Emhoff), I thought we were a great team.” She added that “when Joe got out, he handed over the reins to Kamala” and “had full confidence in her.”
Jill Biden made the revelation as part of her media tour promoting her new memoir about the Biden family's years in the White House.
The former first lady said her husband and Harris remain on good terms, noting Harris had called two days prior to check on Joe Biden's health.
