JAMSHEDPUR: To remove hesitancy about Covid-19 vaccine, the monks of Bharat Sevashram Sangha (BSS) visited the rural parts of Ghatshila on Tuesday. They distributed sanitizers and zinc tablets among the villagers in the region.
BDO Kumar Avinav praised the awareness drive undertaken by BSS in the rural parts of the East Singhbhum district. Notably, a large number of villages in East Singhbhum have reported prevalence of vaccine hesitancy among residents. The district administration through various means is also encouraging villagers to take the shots.
Lauding the efforts of BSS, Avinav said the organisation has always helped people in distress and the service rendered during the pandemic has also been exemplary.
Meanwhile, the district administration raided several dhabas on National Highway-33. A team led by SDM Nand Kishore Lal found that customers were being served food in various eateries, which is not allowed according to the Covid-19 protocols.
