Our hearts broke a little last weekend after viral fried chicken pedlars JFC announced that it was their last Saturday and Sunday serving from their hatch in Leith.
Jimmy's Fried Chicken, or JFC for short, opened earlier this year in the Swanfield Industrial Estate, and has clearly not disappointed after large queues have been spotted coming from their hatch.
JFC also went viral on social media recently after a local food blogger named it as being the best chicken in Edinburgh, if not in Scotland.
Using almost every single part of the chicken in their dishes, owner James Murray has also worked in restaurants run by Gordon Ramsay in the past, and has even had a Michelin star for his previous restaurant, Nur.
So the news of their closure had us panicking - but fear not Edinburgh foodies because team JFC are back for a pop-up next week.
Next Wednesday and Thursday (April 14 and 15), the JFC boys will be firing up the frier at Bross Bagels in Portobello.
The team will be dishing out their legendary fried chicken from 6:30pm until they sell out so as always when it comes to JFC, you'll want to get down early.
