Jewison Bennette bags brace as Sunderland supporters deliver 'world class' verdict

Sunderland new boy Jewison Bennette capped off a memorable week with a brace on international duty. The Costa Rican international scored twice against Son Heung-min's South Korean side.

The Black Cats striker scored either side of half-time to cancel out Hwang Hee-Chan's opener and then put the South American side ahead. Tottenham Hotspur forward Son scored a late equaliser to ensure a share of the spoils.

It's been a memorable week for the Wearsider's new signing. The 18-year-old impressed in a came against Reading before coming off the bench to score a late equaliser against relegated Premier League side Watford.

The youngster was callup-up for international duty and with performances like those of late, there's no reason he can't be part of the Costa Rican squad for the World Cup later this year.

Here's what Sunderland supporters had to say following Bennette's brace:

@MichaelSneddz said: "LAD. Where do I get a Costa Rica shirt from?"

@RamsaySAFC tweeted: "Sky’s the limit for the kid."

@AbsSAFC said: "Better than Son."

@BordeSplash tweeted: "Jewi is a super player."

@safc_fanzone said: "Just appreciate Jewison Bennette time at Sunderland because this kid will not be here long world class."
