Jewish Brexit Party candidate has 30ft swastika painted on his wall

A Brexit party candidate whose dad survived the Holocaust had a 30-foot Swastika painted on the wall of his business.

Lance Forman, who is standing for the Brexit Party in London, found the headquarters of his smoked salmon company in East London daubed with the anti-semitic symbol.

It is believed to have happened Tuesday night.

Mr Forman told the Jewish Chronicle: “My dad fled the Nazis in Poland and is a Holocaust survivor who spent the war years as a child in a Siberian prison camp.

“He has worked with the Holocaust Educational Trust to teach children about the horrors of antisemitism. So the fact that we have been targeted in this antisemitic way is quite horrific and sick.

“The police have images of the culprits on CCTV and I sincerely hope they are tracked down.”

Brexit Party chairman Richard Tice said the incident showed the costs of a politics which demonised people they disagreed with.

He added:  "This is unacceptable, and must be condemned by all.

"When a leading member of London’s Jewish community is attacked in this way all must stand up and condemn it. "

A Met police spokesman confirmed that officers were investigating the incident.

Mr Forman was previously criticised by the Muslim Council of Britain for suggesting that islamophobia row in the Conservative party invented "by the left" to distract from anti-Semitic racism in Labour .
