Jewish advocacy organization Anti Defamation League (ADL) removed its entire "Glossary of Extremism and Hate" after getting backlash for having included Charlie Kirk's Turning Point USA.
The ADL described the conservative group led by the commentator, who was killed earlier this month, as one having ties to "a range of right-wing extremists" and which has "generated support from anti-Muslim bigots, alt-lite activists and some corners of the white supremacist alt-right."
The group's inclusion in the glossary surfaced over the past days and prompted high-profile figures to publicly criticize it. Billionaire Elon Musk called it a "hate group" and GOP Rep. Anna Paulina Luna claimed that "America First' is not hate speech. Turning Point USA is not a hate group."
The ADL reacted retiring the list, saying the group is always "looking for how we can and should do things better." It added that the glossary had more than 1,000 entries and several of them were "outdated" without clarifying the one about TPUSA was one of them.

"This will allow ADL to explore new strategies and creative approaches to deliver our data and present our research more effectively. It will keep us focused on ensuring we do what we do best: fighting antisemitism and hate in the most impactful ways possible," reads a passage of the publication.
