Jets will unveil new uniforms one month from now

The Jets are almost ready to unveil their brand new uniforms for the 2019 season.

The team announced that it will present the new duds on April 4, exactly one month from Monday. Fans will be able to see the big reveal on the team’s website, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and the Jets App.

The last time the Jets did a major revamp of their uniforms was in 1998. Their uniforms went from a kelly green to a darker hunter green. They also ditched the black trim and the word “JETS” across their helmet became more of an oval shape.

As for the helmets, they became all white with some green stripes down the center of it. The logo was on both sides of the helmet and the facemask switched from gray to green.

In 2002, the team added a set of green pants to go along with the white pants. They’ve worn white socks with the green pants and green socks with the white pants.

That look will be a thing of the past, though. The Jets are hoping their new uniforms will be the symbolic start of a new chapter for a team itching for a return to the postseason.
