Jets vs. Saints: Game info, where to watch, notes

The New York Jets will have their first official home game of the preseason against the New Orleans Saints Saturday.

New York is coming off its first win of the preseason against the Falcons last week. As for the Saints, they also won their first preseason game of the year last week against the Chargers.

The Jets are expected to play most of their starters into at least the second quarter. Head coach Adam Gase said earlier in the week that they could play into the third or just until halftime. A few starters will not be participating, however. Le’Veon Bell, Kelechi Osemele, Brian Winters and Trumaine Johnson are all not expected to play.

Center Ryan Kalil will make his Jets debut on Saturday night. Kalil was a late acquisition after the Jets got him to unretire. He finally participated in team drills this week and is expected to play about a quarter, while Jonotthan Harrison will also get some reps with the starters.

This will likely be the last time the Jets starters will play in the preseason. So, the team that goes out on Saturday night will be close to the team that starts in Week 1 of the regular season.
