Jets vs. Falcons: RT Brandon Shell out with knee injury

Jets right tackle Brandon Shell will not take the field against the Falcons on Thursday night.

Shell warmed up with the team and seemed ready to go prior to the start of the game, but Chuma Edoga was in as the starting right tackle on New York’s first offensive series of the game.

Shell could be seen riding a stationary bike on the sideline while the Jets were on the field, but never entered the game. He is New York’s latest starting offensive lineman to succumb to injury, as both Brian Winters (shoulder) and Kelechi Osemele (pectoral strain) are out against Atlanta.

Stay tuned to Jets Wire for more on Shell’s status as the night progresses.
