Jets vs. Browns: Trevor Siemian, Demaryius Thomas both out for game with injuries

The Jets are down to one quarterback and left thin at wide receiver.

Midway through the second quarter, Trevor Siemian took a massive hit from Browns defensive end Myles Garrett and suffered a gruesome-looking ankle injury that will sideline him for the remainder of the game. Wide receiver Demaryius Thomas is also out for the rest of the game with a hamstring injury. Siemian will undergo an MRI on Tuesday to determine the severity of his injury.

With Siemian out, Luke Falk, who was signed off the practice squad earlier in the day, is the only remaining quarterback on New York’s active roster, as Sam Darnold is inactive with a case of mononucleosis. In the event that Falk succumbs to an injury, Le’Veon Bell is the Jets’ emergency quarterback.

Siemian ends the game going 3-6 for three yards, while Thomas did not catch a single pass in his first game with the Jets. Stay tuned to Jets Wire for more on their statuses throughout the rest of the evening.
