Jets to bring back OL Jonotthan Harrison

Offensive lineman Jonotthan Harrison will be back with the Jets next season.

According to the Daily News’ Manish Mehta, Harrison and the Jets have agreed on a new contract. Harrison was set to become a free agent when the new league year opened next week.

The 27-year-old will enter his sixth season in the NFL and third with the Jets. He went undrafted in 2014 out of Florida before being picked up by the Colts. In Harrison’s first season, he started 10 games and appeared in 15. In 2015, he played in all 16 games, but only started nine of them. In Harrison’s last season with the Colts, he didn’t see much action, only playing in 13 games and starting four of them.

Harrison was then signed by the Jets in March 2017, but he only played in eight games with one start in his first season with Gang Green.

Last season, Harrison started eight games for the Jets at both guard and center. He was forced to start the final seven games of the season at center while Spencer Long dealt with injuries.

While Harrison is far from a splash, he gives the Jets solid depth in the trenches, as well as some flexibility.
