Jets Super Bowl odds jump from 100/1 to 50/1 following Le’Veon Bell signing

It’s only March and there are still plenty of offseason moves left to be made, but the Jets’ Super Bowl odds increased mightily after agreeing to terms on a four-year deal with running back Le’Veon Bell on Wednesday.

Vegas is looking to make the most out of the Jets big splash. Per BetOnline.AG, the Jets Super Bowl odds have increased from 100/1 to 50/1.

The odds were nearly cut in half after the Jets added Bell, who many believed to be the best player on the open market, as well as a top-three running back in the NFL.

Of course, these predictions don’t mean much given the offseason is just getting underway and free agency officially starts this afternoon. The Jets are coming off three losing seasons in a row, so it’s easy for Vegas to not have much faith in them

At the same time, New York has started to add multiple pieces that could make itself into a playoff contender for the 2019 season. While the Super Bowl seems like a stretch with the Jets still needing to fill out the rest of their holes for this offseason, New York is in a lot better position than it was coming into the beginning of the legal tampering period.

However, New York’s roster is not done seeing a makeover this offseason. The Jets still have plenty of cap space as well as the No. 3 pick in the draft, so multiple upgrades are still on the docket.

Expect Vegas to continue to improve Gang Green’s chances next year once the Jets are done with their roster makeover this offseason.
