Trevor Siemian is moving on from the Vikings.
The team’s backup quarterback in 2018 will sign with the Jets to back up Sam Darnold. And he’s getting a nice chunk of change to do so. Via Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press, he’ll get $2 million with the possibility of $3 million.
That really wasn’t an option for the Vikings, who have just $1.8 million in cap space.
Siemian didn’t appear in a game for the Vikings after the team traded a fifth-round pick for him.
