Jets sign CB Arthur Maulet to practice squad, add OL Brandon Hitner to practice squad IR

After waiving cornerback Arthur Maulet, the Jets have decided to bring him back to the practice squad.

The team announced Thursday that it signed Maulet to the practice squad and placed offensive lineman Brendon Hitner on practice squad injured reserve.

Maulet has played in five games for New York this season, mainly contributing on special teams. The biggest play he made came in Week 3 against the Patriots when he recovered a muffed punt for a touchdown to get the Jets on the board. Overall, Maulet has recorded two tackles this season.

As for Hitner, the Jets signed him to the practice squad at the beginning of October. He originally signed with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Villanova before being released at the end of August.
