Jets rookie Quinnen Williams is geeking out over meeting all his famous teammates

In the span of just a few months in Tuscaloosa, former Alabama star Quinnen Williams went from wondering whether he’d see the field after a redshirt year to establishing himself as one of the top prospects in football. The Jets took Williams with the third overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, and many analysts argued that Williams may be the top overall player in the class.

The 21-year-old is still coming to terms with his newfound celebrity, and on Friday he excitedly recapped meeting all of his new Jets teammates in a delightful press conference.

“I was like a little fan, a fan at first… you’ve got to think about it at the time, like seven months ago, I didn’t even know I was going to start [at Alabama]. So do be in this position right now, I’m like ‘bro, this crazy.’ When I get to meet people, I be like ‘man this is dope.’

Like I met Le’Veon Bell yesterday, and I’m like ‘whoa, that’s Le’Veon Bell,’ the No. 1 running back in the NFL. It’s just crazy.

But I know I’m one of the people too though, but I don’t really look at it like that though. I met Sam Darnold. That’s crazy. Jamal Adams…. I got Jamal Adams on my [Madden] Ultimate Team. That’s crazy.”
