Jets rank 19th in NFLPA team report card

The National Football League Players Association released a report ranking teams based on criteria such as team facilities, treatment of families and more. The Jets ranked below average in the overall grade, coming in at No. 19 out of 32.

According to the report for the Jets, “77 percent of players feel that owner Woody Johnson is willing to invest in necessary upgrades to these facilities, ranking him 24th in this category.”

An even worse look from this report for the Jets is that the coaching staff ranked dead last as the “players respondents don’t feel like the coaching staff is efficient with their time as they are routinely at the facilities much later than other teams in the league.” Interestingly enough, seven of the top eight coaches in being most efficient with their players’ time made the playoffs, according to the report.

Overall, clearly, some improvements can be made as this report was designed to help give players a guide on teams during free agency. It’s not all bad. The Jets did get “B” grades in strength coaches and training staff. Yet, those still ranked 30th and T-28th, respectively, so take those for what it’s worth.
