Jets officially unveil brand new uniforms

The wait for the Jets’ new uniforms is officially over.

The team released their new duds Thursday evening from Gotham Hall in New York City. It was the first time the Jets redesigned their uniforms since 1998.

There are three sets of uniforms with three different jersey colors. The first one is Gotham Green. Then, there is a Spotlight White. Lastly, there is a Stealth Black alternative.

Many Jets players were at the uniform release, including Sam Darnold, Jamal Adams, Leonard Williams, Quincy Enunwa, C.J. Mosley, Avery Williamson, Robby Anderson and Chris Herndon. There were also a few Jets legends at the uniform party; such Joe Namath, Curtis Martin, Wayne Cherbet and Nick Mangold.

On Wednesday, a leak of what the new uniforms could look like was released on social media. The Athletic’s Connor Hughes was told that the uniforms in the picture were the real deal. However, safety Jamal Adams took to Instagram and immediately shot that idea down. Well, it turned out that the leak was indeed the real thing.

Whether the fan base likes them or not, this is what the Jets will be rocking with for years to come. The Jets needed a culture change, so why not change up their look, too?

At the end of the day, of course, their performance on the field is all that will matter.
