Jets officially tender Robby Anderson along with 9 exclusive-rights free agents

The Jets took care of some business on Thursday, officially tendering restricted free agent Robby Anderson a second-round tender. In addition, Gang Green tendered all nine of its exclusive-rights free agents.

The list of tendered ERFA includes QB Davis Webb, RB De’Angelo Henderson, WR Deontay Burnett, OL Ben Braden, DL Bronson Kaufusi, LB Frankie Luvu, LB Anthony Wint, CB Jeremy Clark and S Doug Middleton.

As for Anderson, his second-round tender is worth $3.1 million. He is allowed to talk with other teams about signing a long-term deal through April 19, but the Jets can match any offer made to him.

If the Jets decided not to match an offer, then they would receive a second-round draft pick in this year’s draft. NFL teams have until April 19 to speak with Anderson, when his negotiating rights expire and he’s back with the Jets.

More likely than not, Anderson will be back with Gang Green next season.

Even on the tender, Anderson can still sign a long-term deal with the Jets down the road, something he’s expressed a desire to do. The 2019 season will be the 25-year-old’s fourth in the NFL; he’s coming off a 50-catch, 752-yard, six-touchdown campaign.
