Jets’ Jamison Crowder had an extremely low chance to make this wild TD play

Jamison Crowder looked like he had no chance whatsoever to catch a Joe Flacco pass to the end zone on Monday night in the New York Jets’ eventual loss to the New England Patriots.

It was a nice throw from Flacco toward the left side of the end zone, but Crowder was running out of room fast to get both feet down.

But Crowder’s enough of a vet to know what to do there. Thanks to the wonder of HD television, we got to see the receiver drag his right toe and plant his left foot down with little to no room to spare. The initial call of out of bounds was overturned for a touchdown.

Just how improbable was that catch? The advanced stats say it was a 6.2 percent chance of completion. Wild!
