Jets injury report: TE Chris Herndon likely out for 2 weeks

After already missing the first four games of the season, Chris Herndon’s 2019 debut will have to wait a little longer.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Jets tight end suffered a Grade 1 hamstring strain while running routes last Friday. He will not play this week against the Cowboys and likely won’t play next week against the Patriots. However, the belief is that the pull is minor and he should be able to return sooner rather than later. Herndon is coming off a four-game suspension to open the season.

In other injury news, C.J. Mosley (groin), Kelechi Osemele (shoulder/knee/illness) and Henry Anderson (shoulder) didn’t practice Wednesday. Mosley is likely out for Sunday, while Osemele and Anderson will have to practice Friday in order to play.

Cornerback Nate Hairston (knee) went through individual drills to see if he could participate in team drills. He didn’t practice on Wednesday.
