Jets injury report: Robby Anderson will play on Sunday vs. Bills

The Jets’ top wide receiver is good to go for Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills.

Adam Gase spoke to the media Thursday and announced that Robby Anderson will play on Sunday despite a calf injury. The Jets also expect Trumaine Johnson (hamstring) to practice fully Thursday and are optimistic he will play on Sunday as well. Brian Winters (shoulder) is expected to practice fully on Thursday and should be a go on Sunday.

A new injury popped up for outside linebacker Frankie Luvu on Wednesday. He injured his hand and will have to wear a splint. However, Luvu should be able to practice to some degree on Thursday.

The Jets will have one more practice on Friday before their home opener on Sunday. Right now, things are looking better on the injury than they did a week ago with the season opener days away.
