Jets injury report: Quinnen Williams back in action, Robby Anderson a non-participant

Tuesday afternoon marked Quinnen Williams’ return to the practice field, as New York’s No. 1 pick suited up and participated in 11-on-11 drills with the second-team defense for the first time since injuring his calf earlier in the offseason.

Having Williams back in the mix before training camp is a positive for the Jets. Not only is he healthy again, but he showed the coaching staff what he is capable of, lining up all over the defensive line throughout the workout.

Many notable names were not present for Williams’ return to the practice field. Wide receiver Robby Anderson was in the building, but did not participate in the team period. The same goes for running back Bilal Powell, who just re-signed with the team.

Le’Veon Bell, Jamal Adams, Leonard Williams, Trumaine Johnson, Kelechi Osemele and Kelvin Beachum did not show up for the voluntary workout. Beachum’s absence allowed third-round pick Chuma Edoga to get some reps with the first-team offense.
