Jets injury report: Marcus Maye still day-to-day as shoulder heals

The Jets are still playing the waiting game with Marcus Maye.

The safety is recovering from shoulder surgery that he had done last season. His shoulder is all fixed up, but the healing process is taking longer than expected. Adam Gase said Wednesday that Maye is still day-to-day, but he doesn’t have an exact timetable on when Maye will be able to return to the field.

The safety was able to participate in 7-on-7 drills during the spring but has yet to step on the field during training camp.

In other injury news, both Bucky Hodges and Jeremy Clark went down with hamstring injuries on Wednesday. Hodges was just signed by the team last week after the team learned about the Chris Herndon four-game suspension.

The Jets did get some good news with safety Brandon Bryant. The team announced that it had removed Bryant from the Active/PUP list after he was hurt with an undisclosed injury.
