Jets injury report: Brian Winters is ‘on track’ to play in Week 1 vs. Bills

The Jets got some encouraging news regarding their offensive line on Tuesday.

The Jets have been without Brian Winters, Kelechi Osemele and Brandon Shell for an extended period of time due to injuries. But Winters is “on track” to practice ahead of the Jets’ opening game against the Bills after injuring his shoulder in the preseason. Osemele is not practicing on Tuesday, but Adam Gase is hopeful he’ll be able to practice at some point this week after injuring his pectoral muscle.

As for Shell, he did some individual drills on Tuesday after his foot got caught in the turf before the second preseason game, which caused a knee injury,

Meanwhile, Arthur Maulet will be limited in practice after injuring his hamstring. But Kyron Brown (hamstring), Trumaine Johnson (hamstring), Blake Cashman (calf/hamstring) all didn’t practice Tuesday. The hope is that Cashman can practice this week so he can play on Saturday against the Saints.
