Jets injury report: Brandon Shell, Avery Williamson, Jamey Mosley being evaluated for knee injuries

The Jets came away victorious against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2 of the preseason, but did not luck out in the injury department.

Starting right tackle Brandon Shell and linebackers Avery Williamson and Jamey Mosley all sustained knee injuries that either kept them out of Thursday night’s action or knocked them out of the game. All three players are being further evaluated.

Shell injured his knee in warmups prior to the game. According to Adam Gase, it is not the same knee that he injured late last season. Williamson injured his knee late in the second quarter in a collision with cornerback Tevaughn Campbell. Williamson was able to walk off the field under his own power, but was visibly frustrated. Mosley sustained his knee injury late in the second half and did not return.

Cornerback Arthur Maulet also departed with an injury, but is “fine” according to Gase.
