Jets injuries have made the Browns much bigger favorites on Monday night

Earlier this week we wrote about the Browns being favored by 2.5 points over the New York Jets on Monday Night Football. Go ahead and ignore that…

Thanks to Jets QB Sam Darnold being ruled out for mononucleosis and several other New York starters prominently on the injury list, the line has jolted considerably larger in the Browns favor. Cleveland is now a 6.5-point favorite at BetMGM, and the line has drifted above seven points in select other sportsbooks.

In addition to Darnold’s unfortunate (for the Jets) illness, standout LB C.J. Mosley and starting DT Leonard Williams have both missed practice all week with injuries. RB Le’Veon Bell was limited on Friday after missing Thursday’s session and requiring an MRI on his wounded shoulder. Four of their five starting offensive linemen also appear on the weekly injury list.
