Free-agent defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh tells Yahoo Sports the Jets have emerged as a serious contender for his services.
A source confirmed that the Jets have serious interest in signing Suh.
Suh, who was released by the Dolphins in a cost-cutting measure, said the Titans, Rams and Saints are also in the mix.
The Jets are searching for more depth and disruptors along the defensive line to pair with Leonard Williams after they released Muhammad Wilkerson in a cost-cutting move in February.
Last season, Suh, 31, had 4{ sacks, 48 tackles, two forced fumbles and two pass breakups.
Suh has yet to visit the Jets' facility and Yahoo Sports says he's at his offseason home in Portland, Ore., thinking about his options.
