After years of missing out on the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Jets great Kevin Mawae was finally inducted this year. On Monday, he got his Hall of Fame ring during halftime of the Jets’ matchup with the Patriots.
It was his first appearance in front of the MetLife Stadium crowd since being inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Mawae was signed by the Jets in 1998 and became a fixture on the offensive line. In his time with Gang Green, Mawae was the definition of stability, earning six Pro Bowl selection and five first-team All-Pro nods.
The Jets inducted Mawae into their Ring of Honor in 2017.
