Jets giving WR Robby Anderson a second-round tender offer of about $3.1M

The Daily News has learned that the Jets are giving a second-round restricted agent tender offer to wide receiver Robby Anderson. The one-year offer is for about $3.1 million.

This means another team would have to give the Jets a second-round pick if they wanted to sign Anderson.

He will become an unrestricted free agent in 2020.

Anderson, who started to develop a solid connection with Sam Darnold over the final month of the season, finished with 50 receptions for 752 yards and six touchdowns. He had a breakout 2017 campaign (63 catches, 941 yards, 7 TDs).

The Jets are taking a wait-and-see approach with Anderson, who has dealt with off-field offseason transgressions, before committing to him long term.
