Jets’ first win means little to odds makers with Patriots coming to town

Despite overcoming the odds last week to defeat the Cowboys, the Jets will face a familiar rival Monday night as underdogs yet again.

New York returns to primetime action this week as it prepares to host the New England Patriots, who are a perfect 6-0 on the season. Due in large part to their undefeated status and Week 3 domination of the Jets, the Patriots are currently pegged as 9.5-point favorites per BetMGM.

New York, as near ten-point underdogs, sees a -110 in the spread, holds a money line of +350 and sits at -110 in the over-under, which is set at 42.5 total points. New England holds similar odds of -110 in the spread and over-under. However, their money line has been set at -455.

While the return of Sam Darnold has made an immediate impact on the Jets’ season, New England is all too familiar with taking the fight to New York. Adding a blemish to the Patriots’ ledger is a feat that no team has yet to accomplish this season. If the oddsmakers are any indication of the outcome of Monday night, Gang Green would come out on top by simply keeping the contest close.
