Jets finally come to terms with rookie DT Quinnen Williams

The Quinnen Williams negotiations have come to an end.

The Jets announced that they have finally come to terms with the rookie defensive tackle. The No. 3 pick will get a four-year deal worth $32.4 million with a $21.6 million signing bonus. Per NFL Network, 25 percent of Williams’ bonus will be deferred until the second year of his deal. Williams and the Jets had been held up due to the signing bonus payment schedule.

Now that Williams is inked, however, he will report to camp immediately.

The 21-year-old defensive tackle was selected by the Jets with the third overall pick in April’s draft. Williams was one of college football’s best player at the University of Alabama, as he recorded 71 tackles and eight sacks in his sophomore season.

Luckily for the Jets, Williams didn’t miss much of training camp, as the team had its first official practice on Thursday. Now that this issue is resolved, Williams’ focus will be on getting after the quarterback.
