The New York Jets and Miami Dolphins are going to do something in 2020 that the NFL hasn’t seen in almost 30 years.
The 2020 NFL schedule was released Thursday night and it has the Jets and Dolphins playing in consecutive games in Week 10 and Week 12. The Dolphins will host the first game, while the Jets will host the second game. Both teams are on a bye in Week 11.
It will be the first time since 1991 that two teams play each other in consecutive games. The Chargers and Seahawks were the last to do it.
Surely Adam Gase will love to see his former team in consecutive games. Miami got the best of him and the Jets in their first matchup last season before the Jets squeaked out a victory at home in the second matchup.
Miami has dominated New York over the last four seasons. The Dolphins are 6-2 over the Jets in that span. So the consecutive games will give the Jets a chance to get some quick revenge on the Dolphins for the damage they’ve done recently.
