Jets' Decker out indefinitely with rotator-cuff injury

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. _ The New York Jets announced Friday that wide receiver Eric Decker has a partial tear in the rotator cuff of his right shoulder and will miss Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Coach Todd Bowles and Decker both described him as "week to week." The hope is that with treatment he can return to action without requiring surgery.

"For sure," Decker said, "that's why at this point it's just see how much strength and range of motion I get back."

Decker, who has only nine receptions in three games, fell on the shoulder against the Bills Sept. 15 and experienced more effects from the injury against the Chiefs last weekend, when he had only one reception.

"It's just something at this point that it's week to week and we have to see if it makes a progression," Decker said.
