Jets are underdogs vs. visiting Saints in Week 3 of NFL preseason

The New York Jets and New Orleans Saints will meet at MetLife Stadium on Saturday night for Week 3 of the NFL preseason. With both teams looking to advance to 2-1, the Saints will be entering foreign territory with a slight edge, according to oddsmakers.

New Orleans currently resides as the three-point favorite in Saturday’s matchup, with the total set at 42.5 points, per MyBookie.

Being the underdog has certainly favored these teams in the past. In their last five meetings, the underdog in a Jets-Saints matchup has gone 4-1 against the spread.

In fact, the Saints are 0-7 ATS in their last seven games and 15-4 straight up in their last 19 overall. While the Jets have room for improvement of their own, Gang Green is still 3-8-1 ATS in their last 12 games and 2-10 straight up.

Both teams are expected to give their starters a decent amount of snaps, with Saints QB Drew Brees set to make his preseason debut.
