Jets agree to three-year, $28.5 million deal with Washington WR Jamison Crowder: Sources

The Jets are giving Sam Darnold more help by adding one of the best slot wide receivers on the market.

Gang Green agreed to a three-year, $28.5 million deal with free-agent wideout Jamison Crowder, according to sources. The pact contains $17 million in guarantees. Crowder, who played his first four seasons in Washington, is expected to play a pivotal and versatile role in Adam Gase's offense.

The 5-foot-9, 177-pound Crowder played in only nine games last season (29 catches for 388 yards and two touchdowns) due to an ankle injury, but he has proven in the past that he can be a meaningful contributor.

The veteran had solid seasons in 2016 (67 catches for 847 yards, 7 TDs) and 2017 (66 catches for 789 yards and 3 TDs).

Darnold's pass-catching weaponry also includes Chris Herndon, Quincy Enunwa and Robby Anderson.
