Jets activate Muhammad Wilkerson from PUP list

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. _ Muhammad Wilkerson is officially back.

The Jets activated their star defensive end from the active/PUP list prior to Tuesday's practice.

It's been a long offseason for the New Jersey native, who broke his right leg in the Jets' 22-17 Week 17 loss in Buffalo. He spent the entire offseason rehabbing his leg and eyeing a Week 1 return to action.

Wilkerson is a healthier and wealthier man these days after signing a five-year, $86 million extension last month.
