Jets activate DT Quinnen Williams from PUP list

Quinnen Williams is back.

The Jets activated the defensive lineman from the physically unable to perform list Monday, a little more than three months after he underwent successful offseason foot surgery. He returned to practice Monday morning, though it’s unclear how much Williams will be involved this week or if he’ll play against the Packers this weekend.

Williams was stretching with the team and participated in some individual drills but wasn’t seen during team drills, according to SNY’s Ralph Vacchiano.

Williams’ presence should only elevate the team after a stellar defensive performance in Week 1. The star defensive lineman is expected to play a big role in the middle of Robert Saleh and Jeff Ulbrich’s defense after a breakout sophomore season in which he tallied seven sacks, 15 quarterback hits, 10 tackles for a loss and two forced fumbles.

In other injury news, Braxton Berrios and rookies Elijah Moore and Alijah Vera-Tucker did not return to practice.
