Jets 2019 practice squad tracker

With the Jets officially down to a 53-man roster, they can now shift their focus to their 10-member practice squad.

The Jets and the rest of the NFL can officially start signing players to their practice squads on Sunday. Of the 10 members on the practice squad, teams can sign up to four players who have exactly two years of service time in the NFL. A player must be on an NFL roster or injured list for a minimum of six games to qualify for a year of service time. The rest of the practice squad is dedicated to players who have two years or less of service time.

A player cannot spend any more than three years on a practice squad.

The practice squad is designed to give players who have been cut an opportunity to still make a 53-man roster whether for their own team or another team. Teams can sign players off of other team’s practice squads and onto their rosters.

With that being said, here’s a look at who the Jets are bringing on to their 2019 practice squad.

  1. WR Jeff Smith
  2. OL Ben Braden
  3. QB Luke Falk
  4. S Doug Middleton
  5. RB Josh Adams
  6. OL Calvin Anderson
  7. CB Kyron Brown
  8. LB Jamey Mosley
  9. RB Valentine Holmes
  10. TE Ian Bunting
