TAMPA, Fla. _ A JetBlue flight from San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Tampa was diverted Sunday to Fort Lauderdale after a front cockpit window cracked.
The flight departed from San Juan at 10:29 a.m. but ended up having to alter its course shortly into the flight as the front cockpit window's exterior surface cracked, the company said in a news release.
The flight landed around 1 p.m. and unloaded all passengers safely from the aircraft. The passengers were then transferred to another flight to get them to their destination, according to the release.

"On May 6, JetBlue flight 1052 from San Juan to Tampa diverted to Fort Lauderdale in an abundance of caution following a report of damage to one of the outer layers of the cockpit windscreen. The flight landed safely at approximately 1:00 p.m. local time. Customers were accommodated on another aircraft."
