Jet2 has confirmed it will resume flights to Portugal following the government's announcement that quarantine restrictions for the country have been lifted.
This means British holidaymakers can now travel to the country without needing to self-isolate for 14 days upon their return.
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said it will resume its flights and holidays programme to Faro, in Portugal's Algarve, from Monday.
PA reports multiple weekly flights departing from all nine of its UK bases will resume, including Belfast International, Birmingham, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, London Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle.
The company is already operating to Madeira (Funchal) from Birmingham, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Leeds Bradford, Manchester and London Stansted.
Chief executive Steve Heapy said: "We welcome this change in government advice which means that customers can once again look forward to enjoying their well-deserved holidays in the stunning Algarve region.
"With flights and holidays operating to Faro, in addition to Madeira, we are thrilled to be offering customers two fantastic options in Portugal when they're looking to book their well-deserved holiday away from the gloom."
Claudia Miguel, UK director, Turismo de Portugal, said: "As a valued partner, we are delighted that Jet2.com and Jet2holidays is recommencing flights and holidays to Faro in addition to Madeira.
"We have consistently maintained our unwavering confidence in the safety of Portugal, and we are delighted to have arrived at a decision which we feel far better reflects the reality of the situation in Portugal."
Earlier this month, TUI cancelled all flights to Portugal in line with government advice at the time.
The UK's largest tour operator said it would "continue to review its holiday programme in line with UK Government advice".
Originally, the government had advised against non-essential travel to mainland Portugal since March 17 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Travel advice in the UK remains ever changing as officials work to combat further cases of coronavirus while the pandemic continues.
The government has a list of countries which are deemed "safe", where British travellers do not have to quarantine upon returning to the UK.
A rolling review system could see countries removed from the list at very short notice.
