Jet2 rules passengers must follow when holidays restart next week

Those looking to book a summer getaway are in luck as Jet2 is gearing up to welcome passengers back on to its flights next week.

The airline will restart flights to quarantine-free countries from July 15 after the government revealed its list of countries,  including Spain and France, without needing to quarantine upon their return.

However, Jet2 have kept the likes of Bulgaria, Montenegro and Portugal, out of their restart plans due to the countries quarantine measures.

If you are joining the company on an upcoming flight, they have released a number of rules passengers must follow before arriving at the airport and while on board a plane.

Jet2 is asking holidaymakers to use the company's app and check-in online before arrival and then download their boarding pass ready to show at the gate.

Customers will need to scan their own boarding passes and show their passports to the flight attendants.

Travellers should also use a mask and should put this on before making their way into the airport and use it throughout their journey.

This applies to anyone ages six and over and face coverings such as scarves, snoods and balaclavas are not considered acceptable by Jet2.

And food and duty-free items will still being sold onboard, but instead of trying to use up your changes, customers will be asked to use contactless payments wherever possible.

There won't be any hand sanitiser onboard of any Jet2 planes so passengers are encourage to bring their own but make sure it's less than 100ml.

If nature calls while on your flight, toilets will be open to use as normal but travellers are being asked to wait safely in their seat until one's free to avoid queuing in the aisles.
