Jet2 rule that may catch you out if you're flying this summer

Jet2 gave hope you holidaymakers last week when it became the latest airline to restart its flights.

The airline and package holiday company restarted its journey's for customers to quarantine-free countries including Spain and France.

Flights to Portugal (Faro, Madeira, Lisbon) are expected to follow next month followed by Krakow (Poland) and Rome, Naples, Pisa, Venice (Italy) from September.

But as with all aspects of our lives right now, there are rules to follow if you are joining Jet2 on an upcoming flight.

And its face mask policy may just catch you out if you don't follow it correctly.

Travellers are expected to use a mask and should put this on before making their way into the airport and use it throughout their journey.

This applies to anyone ages six and over.

However, while in other settings face coverings such as scarves, snoods and balaclavas are permitted, Jet2 do not consider these to be acceptabole.

The airline has stated in its guidelines that the mask should cover your nose and mouth, and should be "either a protective or medical-style mask, or a fitted face covering."

If you are joining Jet2 on an upcoming flight, they have released a number of rules passengers must follow before arriving at the airport and while on board a plane.
