Jet2 resumes Turkey flights and holidays with winter trips also planned

Airline and tour operator Jet2 has resumed flights and holidays to resorts in Turkey after the country was removed from the UK Government's travel red list.

The first services flew out from Bristol with more than 70 flights to Dalaman and Antalya planned from Belfast International, Birmingham, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, London Stansted, Manchester, and Newcastle Airports.

The company reported an increase in bookings of more than 1,000 per cent to Turkey as holidaymakers flocked to book trips to the popular hotspot.

Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “The resumption of flights and package holidays to Turkey is fantastic news for holidaymakers.

"We are delighted to be recommencing flights and holidays to Antalya and Dalaman and to be taking customers once again to these much-loved destinations. Customers have missed being able to visit Turkey this summer, so the reopening of the country has resulted in huge demand and comes just in time for holidaymakers to enjoy some late summer sun.

"We continue to look towards the future with real confidence, as customers make the most of being able to get away and enjoy some much-needed sunshine.”

The full Jet2 programme to Turkey for the remainder of Summer 21 by base is as follows:

  • Belfast International – weekly services to both Antalya and Dalaman.
  • Birmingham – up to four weekly flights to Antalya and up to six weekly flights to Dalaman.
  • Bristol – up to two weekly services to both Antalya and Dalaman.
  • Edinburgh – up to three weekly flights to Antalya and up to two weekly flights to Dalaman.
