Jet2 passengers threaten to boycott airline for an unusual reason

Passengers are threatening to boycott airline Jet2 because of the song it chooses to play on-board.

Budget airline Jet2 plays ‘Hold My Hand’ by Jess Glynne both on the plane and when passengers are waiting to board - on repeat.

But it seems passengers have now grown sick of the tune, with various travellers taking to social media to vent their frustration.

Jet2 has used Glynne’s hit for its campaign since 2016, playing the song extensively on its aircraft.

According to frustrated fliers, it’s most annoying when delays force planes to sit on the runway for hours with the passengers on-board waiting to take off.

But it appears the airline has no plans to reduce how much it plays the 2015 hit.

A spokesperson for the company said: “Our Hold My Hand concept is very popular with customers, and we receive a huge amount of positive feedback about both the advert and the song.”
