Jet2 is the latest airline to cancel more holidays and flights in another blow to holiday makers.
The tour operator has extended the suspension of flights and holidays to to Spain, the Balearic and Canary Islands and Cyprus.
Like with fellow airline TUI, Jet2 took the decision after the Foreign Office continued to advise against all non-essential travel to mainland Spain and the Spanish Islands.
It will now aim to recommence flights to mainland Spain on August 24 and to the Canary and Balearic Islands on August 23.
Jet2 has said it will not be taking passengers on holidays to Cyprus until at least August 17.
The package holiday specialist say they will will recommence its flights and holidays programme to Larnaca first with flights and holidays to Paphos a day later on August 18.
Though this is likely to be dependent on Cypriot authorities reviewing its entry criteria.
Currently travellers have to produce a negative coronavirus test 72 hours before travel.
Those due to travel with Jet2 to these destinations will be contacted directly with options including:
- Rebooking with no admin fee
- a credit note
- or full cash refund
Jet2 said in a statement: "In line with FCO travel advice, we are constantly reviewing our flights and holiday programmes.
"Our programme is constantly being reviewed, so some additional changes may occur.
"Where this is the case, we will contact customers directly to discuss options.
"We will be in touch as soon as possible, so we urge affected customers not to contact us.
"We thank you for your patience and understanding at this time."
