Jet2 holiday and flight cancellations announced for Spain, Cyprus and Canary Islands

Jet2 has cancelled more flights and holidays to Spain, the Balearic and Canary Islands and Cyprus.

The airline has extended the suspension of flights after the Foreign Office continued to advise against all non-essential travel to mainland Spain and the Spanish Islands, reports The Mirror.

Flights to Cyprus won't resume until August 17.

While holidays to mainland Spain will restart on August 24 and the Islands on August 23.

In a statement, the tour operator said: "In line with FCO travel advice, we are constantly reviewing our flights and holiday programmes.

"Our programme is constantly being reviewed, so some additional changes may occur.

"Where this is the case, we will contact customers directly to discuss options.

"We will be in touch as soon as possible, so we urge affected customers not to contact us.

"We thank you for your patience and understanding at this time."

Jet2 has previously warned that more holidays could be cancelled if the travel ban continues.
